Singing has always been a big part of her life.
Some of her earliest and fondest memories include herself swinging in the backyard and singing songs she made up, as she sang them. She took part in every cultural opportunity that came along since she was small and she excelled in vocal, keyboard and guitar lessons during her high school years.
After school she completed her degree in Hospitality Management, but was drawn back to her life-long passion for music.
She began singing lessons with a Classical vocal coach with whom she also completed her Unisa Classical and Opera Vocal and Theory Exams.
She can perform songs across different genres ranging from Elvis’ low notes to the final notes of Phantom of the Opera, with her 4 octave range. Since 2013, Liezel’s current vocal coach, Kylé Adcock, has been doing vocal training in the following styles: Jazz, Blues, Swing, Cool, R&B, Folk, Pop, Commercial Rock and Alternative Rock, to name a few.

Liezel is an experienced and versatile performing artist known for her, among many, sultry, elegant and classy look and her delightful velvet jazz voice. She is a sultry and sensual entertainer and speaker who can do jazz, swing, rock, pop, alternative, vocal and classical genres. Her main focus though, is Contemporary Sultry and Lounge Jazz, Swing & Blues.
A combination of sultry looks, a velvet voice, palpable energy, wit and engaging personality, spell bounds her audiences.
In short, a sensation, and so completely different!
Liezel is down-to-earth and spontaneous and therefore comfortable in an intimate or larger setting as a performer, motivational speaker, MC or presenter. Liezel customizes her performances and talks around a suggested corporate theme and she is inspiring, witty, very trendy and at times, even controversial in her talks and song choices.
She also does motivational talks and adds motivational songs to bring across the message or theme. Her talks contain messages of hope, motivation and understanding, of the: what, why, and how of work, life and love.
When she’s not busy entertaining on stage, she is on set, doing a film or something in front of the camera. She can be seen in the Feature Film, “Gebore Talente” and she has featured on numerous local soapies and TV series as well as a few international movies.
She is the President of the Republic of Koepel, meaning that she is a representative and public figure for a large part of the Free State, including the Parys and Vredefort area. She’s done motivational clips on their local radio station as well. The radio station is called Koepel stereo.
Other than being a performer, she has also vocal coached on the most popular singing reality program on television, “The Voice”. The voice is held in each country, and she coach on the first one held in the continent of Africa. “The Voice Angola”. She is also an “Afri-Indie Music Awards” winner.
Liezel is a founding member of the female vocal group called “Eleganza”. They specialize in Classical Pop Cross-over music with their specialty being Celtic, Gregorian harmonies. Eleganza consists of 3 woman, who have a formal image and that can be compared to the likes of “Celtic Woman”, “Il Divo” or the local group “Romanz”.
She finds inspiration from artists like Michael Bublé, Katie Melua, Diana Krall, Frank Sinatra. Norah Jones, Rod Stewart, Robbie Williams. Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Nina Simone, Vaya con Dios, to name a few.
Being a professional singer can be demanding, but Liezel is committed to making every show a success. Happy clients feed her soul as she diligently pursues her passion.
She has been described as the next big thing in the South African entertainment and corporate circuit. With her background in working with adults and children with Hypnosis, Coaching and Brain gym, she relates well to
people of all ages and cultures. Her love for people is very apparent as she draws people of all walks of life, in to her performances.
Her current performances are mostly at corporate events, private functions, weddings, upmarket restaurants, hotels and jazz venues.
